About Us

The first Christian Farmer’s Conference for families was held in Melrose, South Australia in the 1970’s and ran for several years.  In 1980 a men’s conference was held in Wellington in South Australia, and this conference continues to be held each year.

The concept of a men’s conference for farmers and rural men was picked up by W S (Bill) Clack, the founder of Steer Incorporated.  Working with men in Victoria and New South Wales, four additional men’s conferences were established.  Men travel far and wide to attend the conferences and enjoy the friendship and inspiration that they receive in comfortable accommodation.

The Christian Farmers Men’s Conferences are non-denominational, and are organised by independent local committees.

Each conference includes presentations by two or three speakers, all of whom have lots of life experience, have worked in a rural context either in farming or a related occupation, and have their feet firmly on the ground!  The conferences also include time for worship and fun, and plenty of time to talk.

Comments from some of the men attending a conference last year -

“It is hard to improve on something that is so good.”

“Excellent time, top weekend – thanks guys.”

“My first time along , thank you for organising it.  The camp has been a blessing to me.”

“The music is fantastic…”

A word from a regular attender

Christian Farmers Camps are a great opportunity to meet farmers from across the country.  You will hear from interesting speakers sharing their story about faith, family and farming, eat plenty of great Australian grown food, and come away refreshed and encouraged. I would recommend this weekend to every farmer.
